Just got back from Chicago, with another case (of the punks) of CB rarities & 180g vinyl, courtesy of Reckless Records on Madison.
How about this….2 years ago, we stayed with ‘Marcia’ in her guest house in Jackson, Mississippi & we kept in touch by e mail for a while. Last week, we travelled 4000 miles to The Chicago Blues Festival, which is about 1500 miles from Jackson. We noticed a lot of interest in the lady sat next to us (people asking for autographs etc.) It turns out that she is Dorothy ‘Misty Blue’ Moore. I remembered Marcia telling me that she was a friend of Dorothy. Suddenly, Marcia sits down next to me & the coincidence was complete. It turned out that they had travelled up for Koko Taylor’s funeral. Check her out, the female Howlin’ Wolf.
