Despite many of the writers’ apparently not believing in any sort of god, and therefore having similar religious views to myself, I didn’t find this collection particularly compelling, although there were a couple of entertaining essays, including one by Richard Mabey which makes a nice comparison between evolution and a musical improvisation.
