As a unrepentant Ginger, a former street kid, and a bit of a Franciscan, I think the goldfinch would be Yeshua's second in duels with meanies when he has to go all Jewish Gangster in the defense of Nessie, swans, manx kittens, and naysayers of the innocuous ginger minority.

The great thing is that now you have all these mad searches listed, you become top landing page for all sorts of madness. Anyone searching for: "holding on to owl ectoplasm" now gets here as their first search result. Your traffic is going to double!

I know perfectly well that chalky water is hard, and it's our water which is soft, but for some reason I keep getting them the wrong way round.

If you live in a hard water area, try Yorkshire Tea's special hard water blend: it actually works. No nasty scum on top!

Chalky water is "hard" rather than "soft".

Not too much danger of Southern water coming North any time soon. We'll just pipe all the Yorkshire water down here, filter out the whippets, and use it to under-cut the roads by pumping it all out of massive holes in the pipes somewhere beneath the metropolis.

Yorkshire Water shipped a whole pile of water down south during the last drought, making a tidy profit. Then Yorkshire began to run alarmingly low on water, and their customers were not at all impressed.

Personally, I don't want that nasty, soft, chalky, southern water coming anywhere near my supply, thank you very much.

This is a situation that has been discussed for 20 years or so - a national grid of water. How surprising then that the greedy water companies haven't initiated a scheme off their own bat. They're waiting for the government to pay for it then cream off the profits.

Cynical....moi?

According to the Hebden Bridge Times (my butler reads it):
<blockquote>Steve Cheers, location manager, said: "I come here to walk and I chose the location because it's a pretty Yorkshire town and fitted in with the image we are trying to portray in the advert."</blockquote>

Uncovered (but cover if you are re-heating left-overs). I don't deal in temperatures, because I cook using an Aga, but it takes about 20 minutes in a medium oven. All of the components of the bake have already been cooked, so you can serve it as soon as it is bubbling nicely, the cheese has melted, and the breadcrumbs have browned.

Sorry about the poll thing. How very odd. It's a WordPress plugin (i.e. I didn't write it). The last one worked OK. I wondered why nobody was bothering to vote. I'll look into it...

Ah! I think I might have fixed it... For some bizarre reason, an 'expire' date had been set. I have unexpired it. Which I reckon puts me on a par with Jesus.
