To: Sir David Attenborough

16th August, 1989.

Dear Mr Attenborough,

For some time now, the two of us have been in disagreement about which type of fish is the best - the bream or the trout. While we both realise that it is ultimately a subjective choice, we would both appreciate your opinion (a pint of bitter rests on the outcome).

I believe that my choice of the bream is correct because I have a Bachelor of Science degree. My colleague, Mr Fitzroy, on the other hand, believes that he is more qualified to speak on the subject as he owns a fish pond.

We would both be very grateful if you would settle this matter for us once and for all.

Yours sincerely,

Julian Date & Craig Fitzroy
