Thank you for your message of congratulations following the election of the Labor Government to an historic fourth term.
Members of my Government and I are deeply appreciative of the trust placed in us by the people of Australia and deeply conscious of the responsibility which this trust entails.
It is our firm intention to govern above all in pursuit of the national interest and with a strong commitment to securing a future Australia characterised by greater prosperity, social justice, fairness and security.
