Dear Mr Date

Thank you for your kind letter and the selection of short poem on birds.

I apologise for not replying earlier. I have been away on leave and since my return I have been battling to reduce the load of paper on my desk; your letter, I'm afraid, was put to one side and 'buried'.

I hope to have a selection of members' poems in the Summer issue. It was pencilled in for the Spring one but lack of space forced its late withdrawal! I will put your contributions in the file with the rest and may be able to use one.

Very many thanks for your interest and support for the Society.
