by Ian Jack (ed.).
Great collection of writing, loosely themed on the countryside.
One of the most enjoyable editions of Granta I have read since I became a subscriber. I don't know why I enjoyed it so much; something just clicked with me. The first piece, which contained a wonderful series of short interviews with people from a small village set the tone, and… oh, I don't know… it was really good.
Got me?
