by Ronald Blythe
Memoir of artistic friendships in Aldeburgh, 1955–1958.
The Time by the Sea is veteran author Ronald Blythe's memoir of the three years he spent in Aldeburgh on the Suffolk coast, rubbing shoulders with the likes of Benjamin Britten and E.M. Forster.
As with all of Blythe's non-fiction, it is a delightful read. It also, incidentally, has one of the nicest covers I have ever seen on a book.
Recommended.
