Book review: ‘The Way of the Hermit’ by Ken Smith

‘The Way of the Hermit’ by Ken Smith

In The Way of the Hermit, Ken Smith (with the help of writer Will Millard) reminisces about his impoverished upbringing in Derbyshire, his travels in the wilds of Canada, and his subsequent long life living off-grid and more or less off the land in a self-built log cabin on a country estate in Scotland.

A few dodgy ghost stories aside, it’s an entertaining read. Smith comes across as a fascinating and likeable character.
