Call me pedantic, but ten-year-old chickens are definitely hens.

Call me pedantic, but ten-year-old chickens are definitely hens.
They only say that it has been British for ten years - it could be a much older immigrant chicken (or indeed hen) which only became British 10 years ago.
I ask you! Nasty foreign chickens coming over here....etc.
