by Simon Armitage
Travels with a Troubadour on the Pennine Way.
Walking Home is the poet Simon Armitage's account of trying to walk the Pennine Way the wrong way (north to south), performing poetry readings en route to pay his way.
As with Armitage's other non-fiction, the book is entertaining, northern and humorous. As ever, his dad has a couple of walk-on parts and steals the show.
An enjoyable book.
