Who ate all the pie?

Man, I feel rough this morning. Can't have been the booze last night: I was remarkably restrained (for me).

Must have been something I ate.

Who ate all the pie?
Me and a road-kill pie yesterday.

Happy New Year, everyone.

  1. Hi Richard!

    Happy New Year!

    I like the pie

Just caught up with your comments on True North - glad you enjoyed it & I accept your point about the amount of Old North stuff mentioned in the book. I think you have to do that, to counter the extraordinary prejudices of the grim brigade. On the greenery, I specifically exempt the national parks etc - the five star stuff - cos its beauty is self-evident and the subject of countless existing books. Doesn't mean I don't see it as an essential part of our region's virtues.

Anyway, many thanks again for getting the book and all warm wishes

  2. You think you jest, Peter Mc, but I'll have you know that the full menu comprised:

    • 4 separate appetisers (prepared by Jen & yours truly)
    • beetroot soup
    • choice of 3 different main courses (including said road-kill pie)
    • 3 separate desserts

(We forewent the cheese and biscuits.)
