Just back from a long weekend with Hitchin and Soo in Suffolk (holiday snaps here). The countryside down there was flat and pleasant. So, I'm pleased to report, was the local beer.

Just got back from a fortnight in Egypt. Don't believe the crap....this branch of Islam are lovely, warm people (as long as you pay them for everything from carrying your bag to saying hello to you). Incidentally, did you know that if the Aswan Dam was breeched, the whole population of Egypt would be wiped out in less than six hours? Hopefully, including the bloody camel that tried to throw me! My wife has it on video. I don't know what was louder: the camel protesting or her laughing!
