  1. Red sky at night...Shepherd's delight

Red sky in the morning...Shepherd's house on fire

Minced lamb & mashed potato...Shepherd's pie

  2. Correct me if I'm wrong, but your sunset photo appears to be upside down.

  3. A pub conversation veered into sublime enlightenment tonight. "Tubthumping" by Chumbawamba We'll be singing When were winning We'll be singing I get knocked down But I get up again You're never going to Keep me down Pissing the night away Pissing the night away He drinks a whisky drink He drinks a vodka drink He drinks a lager drink He drinks a cider drink He sings the songs that Remind him Of the good times He sings the songs that Remind him Of the better times: Oh danny boy Danny boy Danny boy... I get knocked down But I get up again You're never going to Keep me down Pissing the night away Pissing the night away He drinks a whisky drink He drinks a vodka drink He drinks a lager drink He drinks a cider drink He sings the songs that Remind him Of the good times He sings the songs that Remind him Of the better times: Dont cry for me Next door neighbour... I get knocked down But I get up again Youre never going to Keep me down We'll be singing When were winning We'll be singing

  4. I tried to send an email but there's always an error so I posted it on this thread. The subject of the above piece is the New British National Anthem. I think you'll be hard pressed to find a better candidate.

  5. Couldn't agree more, Jon. Makes a lot more sense than the current rubbish.

  6. Chumbawamba: top local band. Hebden Bridge gets a mention in one of their songs, and one of the tracks on their latest album is about Charles Darwin. What's not to like?

When they sang Tubthumping on Top of the Pops, their guitarist had a sticker on his guitar saying One hit wonders. Nice touch. Turned down a slot at the Superbowl. Female singer named after one of the Pendle witches.

Or was it on a T-shirt?
